Jai guru deva om

It's time. I think it's time for me to go meditating with my sister.

The title of my blog, which I didn't pay attention for years, was named after an amazing song--Across the Universe, which I can't help falling in love with. John Lennon wrote the lyrics while he was heavily influenced by Transcendental Meditation. I suppose this is the best lyrics (or consider "poem") that he'd ever written. It's poetic, imagery, and most of all,thought-provoking. I couldn't get away from the repetition of "Jai guru deva om",which is Sanskrit. The sitar playing in the song was played by Ravi Shankar(father of Norah Jones). How perfectly the melody fits with Lennon's singing!

Words are flying out like
endless rain into a paper cup
They slither while they pass
They slip away across the universe
Pools of sorrow waves of joy
are drifting thorough my open mind
Possessing and caressing me

Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world

Images of broken light which
dance before me like a million eyes
That call me on and on across the universe
Thoughts meander like a
restless wind inside a letter box
they tumble blindly as
they make their way across the universe

Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world

Sounds of laughter shades of life
are ringing through my open ears
exciting and inviting me
Limitless undying love which
shines around me like a million suns
It calls me on and on across the universe

Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Jai guru deva
Jai guru deva

There is one slogan in my life which I have been trying hard to obey: the wisest person is the one who is aware of own ignorance. It was taken from a book Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder, quoting from Socrates(I believe). Whenever I find conflicts in daily life, I will tell myself: The wisest person is the one who is aware of own ignorance.Sit still, meditate, and let it be.
